4 Add ADVs, links, and text objects to the

background.

NOTE: Any graphic can be used for a Floor Plan

background, as long as it is saved as a Windows

metafile. (.wmf). Copy graphic files to the

FloorPlanImage folder in the WIN-PAK Database

directory.

Adding ADVs, Links and Text Objects to a Floor

Plan

Adding objects to the floor plan is quite simple.

Select an object from the Floorplan Toolbox and

drag it onto the Floor Plan background. Once an

item is placed on the floor plan, set its properties.

1 Right-click the object you have selected and

click Control Properties.

2 The Control Properties window is displayed for

the device selected. For example, if a door is the

device selected, then a Door Control Properties

window opens.

ADV Icons

Input: Commonly used to signal an alarm condition.

Input II: Commonly used to signal an input

condition or state not associated with an alarm

condition.
